In January 2011, EKTA’s engineers updated the information display subsystem in the “Rada-3” System in the Ukrainian Parliament session hall. The modernization was carried out by replacing EKTA model PWL-3MAS plasma video screens (mounted in August 2002) with 2 EKTA LED hi-end model iLVM 4C-B screens complete with unique technical characteristics.
Model iLVM 4C-B screens embody all the latest achievements in the large LED screen industry. These upgraded screens have lost 35% of their weight (120 kg instead of 185 kg) with the same video-area. The updated information display system provides an eightfold increase of brightness compared to the old screen (the image is easily visible even in brightly lit rooms), while reducing average power consumption by 3 times. The production technology for video screens that use plasma panels does not allow achieving such impressive results. But now, this model is created using full-color black face SMD - LEDs from the Japanese producer Nichia, which greatly increase contrast and image quality on the video screen. In one square meter of model iLVM 4C-B video-screen 43,400 light-emitting diodes are gathered.
Information transfer between the host computer and the video screen is facilitated by EKTA’s trademark secure protocol, developed by EKTA specialists. Therefore data transfer between modules is highly encrypted, preventing extraneous interference in EKTA video-systems. It is especially important in such a crucial and sensitive area of video equipment like the Rada’s voting system.
