Gothenburg (Sweden), May 28, 2011. UEFA Champions League final match between Manchester United and Barcelona was broadcasted live in 3D-format. The event was organized by Viasat company, VIDEOFORCE company and EKTA’s rental unit had implemented the work.
The football match was broadcasted on EKTA screen (model iLVM 6C-B). The size of the screen was 6,4х3,6 m. The broadcast of the match was carried out through the tuner from the Viasat Sport 3D satellite channel from the computer. In addition 2D signal was also transmitted to the screen from the tuner. All signals were received by ERMAC control system (EKTA production) through HDMI 1280x720, and the screen had a resolution of 1024x576 points. Volfoni glasses were used to view 3D format video.
The hall of the VIP-club which hosted the football match was broadcasted were 23 x 15 m. Due to the high resolution of the screen it was rather comfortable foe audience’s eyes to view the video even from 6 meters from the screen. The screen worked flawlessly 11 hours and this fact another evidence of the reliability of all EKTA engineering projects. Viasat representatives were impressed by the opportunities offered by the leading Eastern European screens equipment manufacturer. According to the results of recent major international exhibitions for professional visual equipment video broadcast in 3D on large LED screens is one of the most up to date trends of events modification.

Thus, one of the largest EKTA’s projects in Europe was the fan zones creation in several cities in Germany and Switzerland.
